K-12 Outreach

Educating future engineers and advancing technological awareness and understanding in grades K-12 is important in today’s world. Cell phones, hybrid automobiles, solar panels, 3-D ultrasound--these and many more inventions have come about because of engineering technology.  In grades K-12, engineering provides for hands-on-experience; pulls together a number of disciplines to engage children in solving problems and working in teams; and gives all children an awareness and appreciation for understanding how human-made things are created and how they work.

Programs at Tech

Georgia Tech’s College of Engineering has designed to inspire and transform girls to pursue careers in engineering through it's High School Conference program; Introducing a Girl to Engineering program and TEC camp.
