Designed to offer middle school girls an early introduction to the world to technology, engineering, and computing, TEC Camp inspires middle school age girls to consider college majors and careers in these important fields. The format is highly interactive and designed to address the specific interests of middle school students. Listed below are just a few highlights of what your camper will experience during their week at TEC Camp:
TEC students are well supervised throughout the program by Institute staff and Georgia Tech students. Engineering faculty and specialists teach courses in Web Page Design, Robotics, Presentation Skills, Aeronautics, Chemical Engineering, and much more! Seminars are held in Georgia Tech classrooms and laboratories, and lunches and snacks are provided.
Participants are on campus from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Drop-off and pick-up information is provided in the camp acceptance paperwork. The dates for the 2012 TEC Camp are June 18 - 22, 2012.
The camp is designed for middle school girls currently in 6th and 7th grades, who have a curiosity about technology, engineering and computing. To ensure ample opportunities for individualized attention and maximum interaction with professors and Georgia Tech students, a maximum of 40 students are accepted.
