Academic Support

Georgia Tech is committed to providing the necessary support services to assist students in their success at Georgia Tech.

Resources, from assistance with introductory courses to help with personal circumstances, are available on campus. Several key resources are shown here, but you will find others via your school.

OMED

The Office of Minority Educational Development (OMED) is responsible for the academic performance, retention, and development of minority students at Georgia Tech. OMED's programs provide students with the necessary “tools” to succeed in Georgia Tech's rigorous environment including tutoring, mentoring, networking, and academic workshops. Programs are available to help students academically and socially from freshmen to graduate students. While targeting minority students, OMED programs are beneficial and open to all Georgia Tech students.

Success @ Georgia Tech

JumpTo>>

Georgia Tech has created a new online resource called Success @ Georgia Tech to assist first year students with adapting to the culture, climate, and academics at Tech.

On this site, you will find helpful links to sample tests, lectures, and class notes, and view videos of freshmen, faculty members, and teaching assistants discussing important strategies for first-year success.
