Vision & Mission

Achieving diversity among faculty, students, and staff at Georgia Tech is important to ensure a thriving academic community where different perspectives are valued and respected. The Engineering Education Outreach (EEO) office is a key component of that effort to help guarantee that Georgia Tech remains a national leader in producing a diverse population of engineers.
The mission of the EEO office is to cultivate a diverse pipeline by increasing engineering awareness in the K-12 arena and by innovatively attracting, empowering, and retaining diverse undergraduate and graduate talent in engineering.
The Engineering Education Outreach office has two thrust areas:

Academic Diversity
Academic Diversity focuses on programs and initiatives that attract, empower, and retain current and perspective engineering students at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Recruitment
In an eff ort to attract a qualified diverse population of engineers, the Engineering Education Outreach office participates annually in national and local initiatives, as well as hosts recruitment events.
