Engineering and Computing Career Conference

The next ECC will be held on October 8 and 9, 2009 in the Student Center Ballroom and Theater

Engineering and Computing Career Conference (ECC) is a two day conference for high school girls to explore engineering majors offered at Georgia Tech.

Program Highlights

The Women in Engineering Program is offering a conference for prospective female students. Over a two day period, attendees will hear directly from Georgia Tech’s world-renowned faculty and current students about the twelve engineering majors offered at Georgia Tech. They will also have an opportunity to interact with a panel of professional female engineers, and to learn about the exciting, world changing work that these women are presently engaged in.

Instructors and Facilities

ECC participants will have an opportunity to meet and talk with professors from twelve engineering majors within the College of Engineering (listed below), who are doing exciting, cutting-edge research.

The conference will be held in the Student Center Ballroom at Georgia Tech. Driving and parking directions.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch will be served on both days of the conference.

Hours

The ECC will take place on Thursday July 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and on Friday, July 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Fees

A registration fee of $15.00 is required. This will cover all materials, as well as breakfast and lunch on both days.

Who Should Apply?

Sophomore, junior and senior high school females with an interest in engineering are encouraged to apply.
