Engineering and Computing Career Conference (ECC)

The ECC is a two day conference held every October. Specific dates for the 2008 ECC will be posted by late Spring 2008.

The Georgia Tech Women in Engineering (WIE) program offers an annual conference investigating engineering majors and careers for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors, and for undecided engineering students at Georgia Tech.

Program Highlights

ECC attendees will have an opportunity to:

  • Find out about academic requirements for undergraduate engineering programs
  • Explore different areas of engineering through demonstrations and presentations by faculty and students from the various engineering disciplines
  • Engage in dialogue from practicing engineering professionals during lunch time panel discussions

Who Should Apply?

The program targets sophomore, junior and senior high school females with an interest in engineering.

Instructors and Facilities

ECC participants will have an opportunity to meet faculty from all of the nine engineering Schools within the College of Engineering, as well as current female students. The conference will be held in the beautiful Bill Moore Student Success Center located behind the Georgia Tech Administration Building on Ferst Drive and Cherry Street.

Meals

Breakfast and lunch will be served on both days of the conference.

Hours

The ECC is a two day event, held on a Thursday and Friday from 8:00 a.m to 4:30 on Thurssday, and from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 on Friday. Specific dates for the 2008 ECC to be announced.

Fees

Due to the large number of applicants and limited facilities, a non-refundable registration fee of $15.00 will be required to confirm your attendance. This fee must be mailed with your application.
