Faculty Excellence Awards

Every year, the Women in Engineering program sponsors two awards to engineering faculty members who have had a special impact on students’ lives by their teaching excellence, and going the extra mile to encourage and support the students’ success. These awards are given on the belief that the overall learning environment is enhanced by professors who care, and that this increases positive participation and retention.

The awards are special because they come from the students themselves.  Every year, female undergraduate engineering students are invited to nominate a faculty member who has had a positive impact on their lives.

Faculty recipients are recognized with this award at the annual WIE Excellence Awards Banquet.

These awards are made possible by a grant from Kimberly-Clark Corporation. JumpTo>>
