M&M Mentoring Program

M&M (Mentors & Mentees) is the only peer-mentoring program available to Georgia Tech students. It is a student-run program where we match Junior with Freshmen students and Senior with Sophomore students to form a "Pair." Once a week contact is the normal time allotment for each mentoring "Pair." All the "Pairs" within a major are joined together into a "Team." A team leader is selected to oversee the team activities. These activities are social and informative and focus on subjects pertinent to each major. The Women in Engineering (WIE) Program organizes group activities where all the "Teams" have an active part.
Who Should Apply?
This program is open to all undergraduates in the Georgia Tech community, both male and female students, encompassing all majors.
M&M Commitment
One aspect of mentoring that is absolutely essential in building an effective alliance relationship is Commitment . M&M members will benefit greatly from this program as much as they give to their mentoring relationship. Mentors must make time for the "Pair" relationship, and Mentees must be willing to be mentored. Mentees are responsible for their own learning, and Mentors are responsible for supporting and learning with them.
