Meet Mason Marceau, Mechanical Engineer
I am a Mechanical Engineering major and hope to be a pilot once I graduate, in junction with owning a mechanical business like an automotive repair shop. I would also like to use my degree to invent a new technology or at least improve something that's already been made.
Poi, or fire spinning, is a great hobby of mine but it doesn't really have anything to do with my degree. It's more of a way for me to expand my horizons into the performing arts, which is also an interest of mine.
I try to involve myself in many things outside of studying. I love to travel and plan on studying abroad. I also enjoy participating in sports like tennis, rugby, and snowboarding (pretty much any sport really). Some other unique activities I enjoy are slacklining, and capoeira.
Tech offered me an engineering degree with a level of prestige that most schools can't compete with. Plus, this college is close to home so I can maintain a close relationship with my friends and family.
Not to toot my own horn or anything but I think I am funny, outgoing, open-minded, talented, logical, ambitious, fun-loving, compassionate, relaxed, and happy.
In my opinion, there is no key to life because everyone has different aspirations. But all you really need to live a happy life is to surround yourself with the people you love. You don't need money, or fame, or multiple houses; you just need to do what you love and not worry about what society wants.
